TESOL Greece is a volunteer
non-profit organization. Events are organized by a non-paid voluntary
Board, all of whom have full-time jobs and family responsibilities. To
provide the quality and quantity of service that members have come to
expect, TESOL Greece relies heavily on help from volunteers.
Becoming a volunteer is a good way to become involved with the
day-to-day runnings of TESOL Greece. You get to see how things are
organized, meet people and contribute to the success of the organization.
You don't have to commit to a whole year - simply skim through the
forthcoming events
and decide which
one you'd like to become involved in. Volunteers are needed for a
variety of tasks - from handing out programs to putting up Christmas
decorations, from being the official event photographer to helping pack
up at the end of the day.
Apart from help at the events we're always after help between times as
well.
We need people to help us man our information booth at the Publishers
exhibitions. If you go along to these anyway, perhaps you can spare
TESOL Greece an hour to hand out our pamphlets and tell people what a wonderful
organization we are!
We need people to come in and help organize our resource room.
We need people with ideas for sponsorship. TESOL Greece is always
looking for money to support the number and variety of events it
organizes each year. Perhaps you know someone who works in a large
corporation that sets aside money for educational and charitable
institutions such as ours? Let us know. We've put together a
professional presentation and we're ready to hit the corporate world in
search of sponsorship.
If you'd like to become involved in TESOL Greece without taking on the
full-time commitment of being a Board member then we'd love to hear from
you contact us.
